Next Book

Dena has asked that we discuss the next book we might want to read so that we can arrange to all have the book at the same time. I have not heard of anything that is really jumping at me so I am passing the buck to you ladies. What have you been looking at? What have been wanting to read? Classics? Mystery? Humor? Non Fiction?

I am up for pretty much everything. I will put in a small vote for Carl Hiassen. This is one of my favorite authors. I've told Jackie about him. He writes mystery/humor books about Florida. Very, very funny and excellent reads. He also has a few childrens books that I have heard are good.

Back to work! Ah, the man!

I did look up Carl Hiassen in my local library system, and nothing comes up. Dammit!
I'm all for humor. I could use some.

My personal favorite of his many good and many hilarious books is "Skinny Dip." Try that. I can't believe they don't have anything. The man is a very prolific writer. He's written about 10-12 novels in the last 20 years. He wrote "Strip Tease" which the very funny movie with Demi Moore was based on.

I found "Skinny Dip." How about that one? Judging by the 21-page syllabus I just read for one of my classes, I'll need some humor in the coming months...
