Bonk! recieved!

Okay so the library finally came through and I am now in possession of Bonk! Well, sort of. I forgot it at home this morning and wasn't planning on heading home until Friday. I did start reading it though on Sunday. I finished the intro and the first chapter. It is really quite funny. I was laughing out loud and ended up reading quite a bit of it to Andy. He also enjoyed it.

It is definately good and I highly recommend that we read it. If this doesn't sound too good, I am now the alustrious advisor of the Adams-Friendship High School Book Club and we decided today that we are reading "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer. So, I will be reading that as well if the concensous is for that instead. Let me know.

I am hoping that once I am into the apartment then I will have more time for reading since I won't have a life. I will have to take a break from teaching and planning occasionally.

Moving on to something new

It just so happened that I finished the fourth in the Twilight series on my busiest week of the summer. I haven't had a chance to really comment on the whole series. I'm hoping you both will post something on the series... I don't know what to comment on. It seems like so long ago.

I think it was a great series. It's too bad the "Twilight from Edwards position" book might not be released because of the early leak to the public. I think it would be pretty good.

I'm excited for the movie. I've already set up a 'date' with my friend in Platteville to watch the movie in Pvegas Dec. 12. I think we're going to go to the extreme of pre-ordering movie tickets and all that... Anybody else want in?

I recommended the books to two of my friends. Holly read the books (all 4) in 5 days. Danielle finished the first two books in about 2 days, completing the last one after work yesterday. She told me she was going to take a couple days away from the series. Her boyfriend said she loved the books more than him... She sent me an e-mail this morning saying she "accidentally" started the third one last night. I warned her they were addicting.

Has everybody gotten their copy of Bonk!? I'm not ready to start reading it yet, but I want to start it around the same time as both of you so we are at about the same spot and can discuss more of it than we did the Twilight series.

I have found some books I would like to read. Let me know if either of you are interested as well. If not, I'm still going to get them to read on my own.
-The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
-Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
-The Last Summer (for you and me) by Ann Brashares (author of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)
-The Host by Stephanie Meyer
-Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier (my friend Danielle recommended it to me claiming it's almost as addicting as Twilight; and there is a sequal to it too).
